**Job Location** Opportunity Campus**Job Summary:** The Senior Accountant I is responsible for supporting accurate and timely financial reporting through the preparation and review of general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and maintenance of assigned accounting processes, including fixed assets, leases, contracts, cash, and other balance sheet accounts. This position represents an increase in scope and technical ownership beyond the Staff Accountant track, with organization\-wide responsibility for fixed asset accounting, lease compliance, and property and sales tax compliance. The Senior Accountant I independently researches and resolves accounting discrepancies, identifies unusual transactions or trends, maintains appropriate supporting documentation, and applies GAAP and organizational policies in the performance of assigned responsibilities. This position requires integrity, sound judgment, initiative, attention to detail, strong analytical and Excel skills, and a desire to support the mission of Goodwill.
