**DISTRICT TREASURER** **Williamsville Central School District** **VACANCY INFORMATION \& JOB DESCRIPTION**: The position of District Treasurer is an Exempt position appointed annually by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools. **QUALIFICATIONS**: The candidate must meet the minimum requirements per Section 2102 of the NYS Ed. Law. Preferential consideration will be given to individuals with abilities, skills, \& efficiencies exceeding the minimum qualifications, including: * Working knowledge of computerized financial accounting software (the District currently uses WinCap software), spreadsheet applications, and the Uniform System of Accounts as prescribed by the Office of the State Comptroller. * Thorough knowledge of pertinent education and local finance laws, Commissioner’s Regulations, and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) statements. * A bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, accounting, or a related field; an associate degree with a major in finance, accounting, or a related field; or demonstrated experience in school or other governmental accounting positions with supervisory responsibility. **REPORTS TO****:** Boar...
