**POSITION SUMMARY** The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, sourcing, building and testing automated assembly equipment used in the biodefense, clinical and life\-science markets. This position will conduct the planning, scheduling and control of Automation projects to support new product development through the transition from prototypes into manufacturing. This position will manage and direct the work of others. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Design, develop and test automation equipment + Robotics, controls, fluid handling equipment, machine vision, pick\-and\-place, part handling, sorting and conveying, and packaging. + Software programming for control of automation equipment. + Design of Human Machine Interfaces. + Presentation of and participation in peer reviews of Automation design. + Extension of existing systems for new production capabilities + Plan, schedule, and control automation projects * Mentor and supervise + Mentor and supervise Automation Engineers and Technicians + Accountable for the work of others under their supervision where applicable. + May be responsible for training and development of Automation personnel. + Conduct performance ...
