**POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION** -------------------------------------------------------- This is a skilled labor position involving light equipment operation, construction, and mechanical work of a primarily physically demanding nature. Work involves responsibility for performing a variety of tasks with a major emphasis on irrigation maintenance and general parks maintenance duties. Work is reviewed by a supervisor and through inspection of work while in progress and/or upon completion. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and to be able to read and understand construction documents and develop and maintain maintenance schedules. The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. The City of Westminster has a Multilingual Stipend Program to encourage, and reward benefited employees who are conversationally fluent in languages other than English.
