Wharton\-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Field Engineer to work in the Water/Wastewater Division in the Baton Rouge, LA area and work on a current project in Jackson, MS. The successful candidate will be responsible for successful completion of field tasks as assigned by the Project Superintendent and Craft Foreman. **Responsibilities:** * Assist Foreman with structure layout * Field purchase orders * Engineering duties as assigned for assistance in planning construction. * Maintain and update project logs and schedules. * Identify need for Requests for Information (RFIs). * Prepare, review and process shop drawings. * Maintain as\-built drawings. * Collect and assemble O\&M material. * Perform subcontract scope analysis. * Assist with purchasing and expediting. * Document distribution. * Meeting minutes and distribution. * Scheduling. **Requirements:** * Surveying/layout, technical writing **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
