We are seeking a detail\-oriented and motivated Accountant II to support day\-to\-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with general ledger maintenance, month\-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. The Accountant II is expected to assist in various ad hoc reporting requests as well as various departmental projects and initiatives. This position reports to the Manager\- Accounting, and will be located in our Houston, TX office. Essential Responsibilities: * Responsible for the monthly maintenance of the fixed asset system including recording additions, disposals, depreciation and any modifications to asset locations. * Prepare and maintain journal entries and general ledger accounts * Assist with month\-end and year\-end close processes * Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations * Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed * Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation * Analyze financial data and investigate discrepan...
