West 4 is our Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE)/ Alternate Level Care (ALC) Unit. it is a 36 bed unit specializing in geriatric medical patients with acute and non\-acute needs. The RN Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care. **Level II Registered Nurse (RN):** The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities.
