MODEC America, Inc. is seeking an Accountant II to perform intermediate\-level accounting activities, including general ledger reconciliations, month\-end closing processes, accruals, and financial statement preparation. This role helps ensure the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance corporate financial records. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. * Independently investigate and resolve any identified discrepancies. * Prepare accruals for revenue, unbilled revenue, and associated costs in strict accordance with GAAP, IFRS guidelines, and contractual requirements. * Monitor intercompany account balances and collaborate with related parties to resolve imbalances and reduce negative working capital impacts. * Maintain the financial integrity of the fixed assets sub\-ledger by verifying transactions and ensuring appropriate documentation and authorizations are recorded. * Serve as a disbursement reviewer for Accounts Payable, ensuring coding accuracy, banking information validity, and compliance with three\-way match requirements. * Support internal and external audits by compiling requested docume...
