DOTD is seeking an experienced engineer to serve as the **Assistant to the Project Engineer** expert while supervising lower\-level Engineers or Engineering Technicians. This position supports transportation projects and programs through supervising highway and bridge construction, surveying activities, contract administration, quality assurance, material management and associated functions of a construction unit including supervising employees in the Project Engineer’s office engaged in construction work. This role plays a critical part in advancing DOTD’s mission by supporting the development, delivery, maintenance, or improvement of transportation infrastructure by applying engineering principles, conducting technical analysis, coordinating projects, and conducting compliance\-related reviews.
