**Position Summary** Under general direction of the City Manager, the Director of Finance is a key member of the City’s management team who plans, directs, manages, and oversees the financial operations of the City including accounting systems, budgeting, debt and cash management, purchasing administration, utility billing oversight, and information technology coordination. This person ensures compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements while providing accurate financial reporting and strategic guidance to City leadership. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** The following duties are representative and not all\-inclusive: · Oversees all operations of finance including accounts payable and receivable, payroll and purchasing. · Administers debt management, cash management, bank relations, and investment activities. · Develops and enforces annual operating and capital budgets. · Prepares monthly and annual financial statements and reports. · Presents financial reports and recommendations to City Council at public meetings as directed by charter and council. · Coordinates and manages the annual external audit process and prepares Management D...
