General Responsibilities: As the direct partner at the regional operations level, responsible for coordinating safety, health, and environmental programs. The Safety Specialist will work closely with the corporate safety team and offices within the region. Provide proactive support and guidance in support of Terracon’s commitment to Incident and Injury Free work. The role ensures the consistent and excellent application of safety programs by championing safety leadership, providing safety subject matter expertise, supporting initiatives, and coordinating compliance with Terracon’s overall safety policies. This role also ensures Terracon’s compliance with the safety expectations of our clients. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: * Assist with the implementation of safety policies, initiatives, and strategies at the regional level to align with Terracon’s IIF culture, Strategic Plan, and Purpose, Vision, and Values. * Ensure radiation safety and compliance by auditing monthly radiation safety inspections and audits with local Radiation Safety Officers (RSOs).
