Overview: Under general supervision , the Imaging Technologist Aide is responsible for assisting in all aspects of patient care to include but not limited to preparing patients for their exams, and assisting in performance of imaging procedures at the direction of the imaging technologist. This position is responsible to transport patients who may include infants, children, adolescents, adults and or elderly adults, to and from various areas throughout the facility in a timely manner. In addition, this position will assist with documentation in the healthcare record, conducting patient research, supply management and general assistance to support the imaging team. As a member of the team, this position will also perform a variety of clerical duties, while providing assistance to patients, technologists and radiologists. This position demonstrates excellent communication skills and effectively works with a multidisciplinary staff, patients, and their caregivers.
