**METUCHEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS** **TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR** **12 Month Position (starting as early as December 1, 2026\)** The District is seeking a qualified and experienced Transportation Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of the transportation department. This position ensures the safe, efficient, and cost\-effective transportation of students and supervises transportation personnel, routing, and fleet maintenance. Reports To: School Business Administrator. **QUALIFICATIONS:** – Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred– Excellent driving record; five (5\) year Driver’s Abstract required – School transportation experience – Knowledge of New Jersey laws and regulations related to pupil transportation and school bus operations – Experience with personnel supervision, route scheduling, fleet maintenance, and cost containment – Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills– Ability to work collaboratively in a team\-oriented environment – Availability for on\-site work, on\-call responsibilities, and periodic overtime– Successful completion of criminal history background check – Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status – New Jersey re...
