**Job Description** ------------------- **PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION** The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Assistant CFO) supports the CFO in overseeing the City’s financial operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This role provides leadership across procurement, payroll, accounts payable, treasury management, accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and budgetary planning and performance. The Assistant CFO helps streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and maintain high standards of fiscal responsibility. Serving as second\-in\-command within the Finance Department, the position ensures smooth daily operations and contributes to continuous improvement across all financial functions. **Essential Functions** ----------------------- **The following duties are normal for this position.
