**Position Description** ------------------------ **Position Overview:** The ITS Network/Systems Administrator assists in the management of the metropolitan area Ethernet network supporting Traffic Control Signal operations, monitoring, and other services. **Job Duties:** * Sets up, configures, and supports internal and external network equipment * Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. * Develops and maintains network\-related documentation. * Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. * Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. * Provides technical support and guidance to users. * Monitors network(s) using SolarWinds and/or other products. * Coordinates activities of field technicians and contractors. * Attends and conducts meetings, coordinates projects, and interacts professionally with team members, other business units within Harris County, external agencies, private interests, and/or the public. * Performs additional duties as assigned. **Harris County is an Equal Opportunity Employer** https://hrrm.harriscountytx.gov/Pages/EqualEmploymentOpportunityPlan...
