Description

The **Deputy Controller** shall have the primary responsibility of performing a variety of general accounting functions along with leading Florida Memorial in accounts payable, cash management, procurement services, and fixed asset reporting. This position reports to the Assistant VP of Finance \& Controller and is responsible for applying general principles of accounting, reviewing and analyzing financial information, and preparing financial reports. An ideal candidate is responsive, thoughtful, self\-directed, positive, and seeking an invigorating role. Also, must be fully prepared to step into the role of AVP/Controller within 6\-8 months after hire. **Essential Functions:** * Monitor and review financial transactions and activities for assigned accounts, funds, departments, and units. * Prepare monthly and annual bank reconciliations and financial reports and statements for assigned areas to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and established policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data. * Maintain accounting controls and audit documents. * Prepare journal e...
