**Industry:** Trucking Insurance **Department:** Accounting \& Finance **Reports To:** Owner / General Manager **Employment Type:** Full\-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Head of Accounting / Senior Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our trucking insurance agency. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and experience managing insurance commissions, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month\-end closing. * Prepare monthly financial statements, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts. * Manage accounts payable and receivable, including client payments, insurance premiums, and vendor invoices. * Track and reconcile insurance commissions, agency fees, and commission payments from insurance carriers and brokers. * Monitor premium payments, outstanding balances, commission receivables, and agency operating expenses. * Reconcile agency records with insurance carriers, brokers, and premium finance companies, as applicable. * Coordinate payroll, tax preparation, and c...
