BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Medical Assistant is a certified, registered or certification\-eligible professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. This individual provides safe, quality care to these patients in accordance to the standards established by the American Association of Medical Assistants. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education * Certificate from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program * Completion of an associate or college education program in nursing or allied health from a verifiable educational institution Minimum Work Experience * Two (2\) years of full\-time experience as a Medical Assistant preferred within the past five (5\) years Required Licenses / Certifications * BLS Certification Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities * Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to effectively communicate with all customers (patients, visitors, hospital staff and others). * Ability to handle, diffuse and resolve difficult situations, including customer complaints. * Team oriented to support GRMC team members as needed. * Flexibility and resiliency to adapt to diverse patient dynamics. * Highly mot...
