Description

The Staff Accountant I position will primarily be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting through recording journal entries, performing account reconciliations and variance analysis, and ensuring processes are completed in compliance with SOX controls. Provides excellent service to field and operational teams when addressing issues and questions. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** **Journal Entries and Reconciliation**s Timely preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and O'Reilly accounting policies. Resolve issues and make corrections as necessary. Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain supporting control process documentation. Assist internal and external audit processes as necessary. **Reporting and Analysis** Generate reporting and analysis as required by management. Monthly analysis of various balance sheet accounts. Monthly analytical review and reasonableness tests of various income and expense accounts. Analysis of budget to actual variances.
