**DESCRIPTION:** The Controller is responsible for managing the day\-to\-day accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and timely and accurate monthly financials necessary for ensuring the clear financial picture of multiple organizations. Coordinates the annual Audits/Reviews and Medicaid and Medicare cost reports with external auditors. Assists the Chief Financial Officer with the annual budget process. The Controller supervises the Accounting/Payroll Manager and Staff Accountant. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** · Oversees the timely monthly closing process for multiple entities including the preparation of monthly financial statements with analysis of variances while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and CSJ Initiatives processes. · Oversees the bi\-weekly multi organization and multi\-state payroll, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions through ProLiant. · Oversees day\-to\-day accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations for multiple entities. · Reviews, reconciles and analyzes balance sheet and select income and expense accounts monthly to ensure accoun...
