**Civil Engineer****Transportation and Utilities** The City of Portage is looking for an experienced and professional Civil Engineer to join our Department of Transportation and Utilities! **Are you ready to join a team that builds infrastructure one block at a time?** The team executes, and engineers construction management; operation and maintenance of streets, traffic signals, and utilities; performs engineering of commercial and private development sites and plat plans; administers permits for ROW work, utility extensions, and connections; traffic signal timing; pavement evaluation and rating; water quality assessments; and so much more. **There is no city without Transportation \& Utilities!** **What You'll Do:*** This position will coordinate and implement engineering activities, technical designs, project research and plan review for private development projects. * Incumbent will review site plans, plats and other private developments to ensure conformance to applicable Federal, State and local laws, ordinances and resolutions, and ensure adherence to engineering standards and ordinances related to water and sewer provisions and storm drainage designs. * This position inspec...
