**General Summary** Coordinate all purchasing related activities between Kia Georgia and automotive parts suppliers. Meet with and direct suppliers on a regular basis in the areas of Cost, Development, Quality, Delivery, Management, and Safety to determine and optimize progress and discuss current \& future activities **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** * Select, develop and manage supply base for production parts, components and systems by: preparing RFQ's for multi\-year full production quantities (as required), negotiating long term agreements, maintaining competitive pricing and leading yearly cost reduction activities. * Analyze supplier timelines for new part development: Verify supplier tooling, packaging, dimensional, shipping, testing, etc. milestones and provide notification of gaps/errors. * Asset Management: Ensure that all assets are tagged, locations are validated, records of all tooling are maintained and updated, and amortization is confirmed. * ISIR Submission: Receive and Approve before parts are released for launch/ mass production. * Manage supply base in all key areas to gain efficiencies and Understand Key Supplier Performance Metrics to implement and co...
