This position is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the operations and maintenance activities of the Water Utility Division, including supervising the division’s employees, coordinating assigned activities with other public works divisions, and providing highly responsible and technically complex staff assistance to the Utilities Superintendent. This is a supervisory position whose work performed requires incumbents to apply a high level of professional knowledge and technical proficiency in water distribution, emergency response programs and activities, as well as using established guidelines and alternatives to determine facts, analyze problems, and make decisions without immediate supervisory review.
