Description: **Job Summary:** The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing various tasks, including packaging, verifying content for shipping, receiving packages, ordering supplies, and leading and managing staff. This position is also responsible for coordinating internal trucking. The main goal is to ensure timely, accurate, and secure shipping and distribution. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** * Ensure adherence to/compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations relating to safety/health, performance standards, procedures, processes, and training requirements * Plan and implement overall shipping strategy * Use shipping software to organize and prioritize shipping activities * Oversee the whole shipping process * Be involved with setting shipping KPIs * Maintain departmental metrics as required * Suggest solutions for process optimization * Actively seek ways to reduce costs in the department and improve working practices. * Provide periodic updates and reports as requested by management * Establish daily and/or weekly schedules as deemed necessary, and labor requirements to achieve production goals and objectives * Acts as a liaison with Human Resources to es...
