### **Summary** Under general supervision, performs professional accounting work supporting the Water Authority’s financial operations. Maintains and analyzes accounting records; prepares reconciliations and financial reports; monitors assigned accounting functions; and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and procedures. Supports financial reporting, audits, budgeting, grants, capital projects, and process improvement initiatives, including preparation of the Water Authority’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). Uses computer models and accounting software to assist supervisory and management staff and departments with recording and reporting financial transactions. Analyzes, reviews, evaluates, and reconciles all funds and accounts. ### **Minimum Education and Experience** Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, plus four (4\) years of accounting experience in analyzing and reconciling chart field accounts, which must include at least three (3\) years of financial statement preparation or governmental accounting.
