Description

Assist in delivery of District's transportation program by representing interests of jurisdictions and representation of VDOT's interest to the jurisdiction with regard to VDOT planning, preliminary engineering, construction, maintenance and operational processes. Perform varied technical engineering duties related to the project development program. Coordinate and communicate with elected officials, local government staff and citizens regarding funding and resolution of local transportation project and program related issues. Coordinate public involvement process for county and district\-wide projects. Provide technical advice, guidance and training regarding assigned engineering program areas. Prepare analyses, reports, and recommendations based on engineering determinations. Provide engineering support and consultation related to engineering program area. Effectively manage assigned projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.
