Mixon Tax Law, PLLC is a growing Houston\-based tax law firm focused on federal and state tax controversy, tax resolution, and related tax matters. **We are seeking an experienced tax professional with hands\-on experience handling IRS controversy, collection, and appeals matters. 3\+ years experience is required.** Prior IRS representation and resolution experience is the most important qualification for this position. A CPA license is not required. We are more interested in candidates who understand how IRS collection and appeals matters work in practice and who have experience dealing directly with the IRS on behalf of taxpayers. The ideal candidate has worked with IRS Revenue Officers, ACS, Appeals Officers, examinations, or similar IRS functions and is comfortable analyzing a taxpayer's situation, communicating with the IRS, and helping develop an appropriate resolution strategy.
