Overview: The Simulation Assistant assists with the implementation of the full spectrum of simulation methodologies utilized in the Sentara Center for Healthcare Simulation and Immersive Learning (SCHSIL, or The Center) with an emphasis on device\-based simulation. This person is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing computerized manikins, task trainers, and related multimedia peripherals; analyzing and resolving user and interface problems; assisting in the training and education of non\-technical users; and advising the Director of Simulation Technology and other Center Directors concerning procurement of hardware, software, and audio/visual equipment involving device\-based simulation methodologies. The incumbent works collaboratively with faculty, staff, learners, and Center personnel to provide flexible, responsive, and detail\-oriented support that promotes the successful delivery of simulation\-based education, training, and research activities.
