Overview: **POSITION SUMMARY** A medical assistant functions under the direction, guidance, and supervision of a licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or RN. A medical assistant assists in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Urgent Care setting. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **Education:** Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program. In lieu of a Medical Assistant course, recent completion of one year formal RN program. **Experience:** Urgent care experience preferred. **Knowledge and Skills:**Vitals, triage categories, medication administration, splinting, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation and record keeping. **License/Certifications:** Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA). **Equipment:**EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse\-oximeter, Omnicell medication dispensing cabinet, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner. **Physical Requirements:**Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. **PAY RANGE**$23\.00 \- $32\.61 ***The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that ...
