Upstate Family Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Care Center (FQHC) located in the heart of the Mohawk Valley in Utica, NY, is seeking passionate and dedicated Medical Assistants to join our team. Clinic is open Monday \- Friday 8:00am\-6:00pm. Schedule: Varied schedule Monday \- Friday (four 10\-hour shifts), no weekends The Medical Assistant is responsible to provide health services using a team\-based care model to individuals, through effective partnerships with patients, their caregivers/families, community resources, and their primary care physician. Facilitates a “shared goal model” within and across settings to achieve coordinated, high\-quality care that is patient and family centered. #### **Essential Roles and Responsibilities** #### **Activities include but are not limited to the following:** Rooms patient, verifying all demographics, obtaining appropriate signatures and copays.
