Job Description The Hospital GI/Endoscopy RN III is an advanced licensed clinician who provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic, therapeutic, and advanced gastrointestinal/endoscopic procedures. Functions as an experienced clinical resource in GI/endoscopy nursing and supports safe care throughout pre\-procedure, intra\-procedure, recovery, and discharge. In addition to direct patient care, the RN III serves as a preceptor and mentor, supports staff clinical development, identifies practice and workflow improvement opportunities, and contributes to quality, safety, patient experience, and professional nursing practice across the department. Responsibilities * Provides advanced nursing care to patients undergoing routine, complex, and advanced gastrointestinal/endoscopic procedures. * Uses advanced assessment and clinical judgment to anticipate risk, recognize deterioration or procedural complications, and coordinate timely intervention. * Serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff regarding GI/endoscopy patient care, moderate sedation, procedural workflow, recovery, and clinical decision\-making. * Precepts and mentors new employees, student...
