Duties Description The Conservation Operations Supervisor 1 (COS1\) will support our recreation program by supervising campground staff and managing day\-to\-day operations. Duties include establishing staff work schedules, observing work in progress, collecting and processing recreation financial reports for review, overseeing maintenance and minor construction activities, procuring supplies and materials from vendors under state contract and using preferred sources as required, obtaining quotes for various projects, preparing purchase requisitions, tracking supplies, materials, and equipment, and submitting schedules, reports, and work orders accurately and on time. The COS 1 will assist with maintenance and work planning, assist with the recreation spending plan, special events, and NYWORKS, Adventure NY, and Capital projects. The COS1 will also be a working supervisor of one or more small crews responsible for completing a variety of tasks. These responsibilities may include the supervision, maintenance, operation, rehabilitation, improvement, or construction of department infrastructure and facilities.
