**Controller – Commercial Construction \| Katy, TX (Onsite)** Compensation: 125,000\-150,000 per year, plus a generous bonus and amazing benefits! About the Role Our client is a commercial construction company in Katy, TX. Its current Controller is retiring and the company is hiring a successor. This is an onsite role with a planned, gradual handoff. The retiring Controller will keep payroll, wire transfers and certain banking functions at first. These will move to you as you learn the business and he or she is comfortable handing them off. You will be a key financial partner to the CFO, CEO and project executives. What You’ll Do * Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidated reporting across multiple entities and joint ventures * Manage project accounting: job costing, percentage\-of\-completion revenue recognition, WIP schedules and project profitability * Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning at both the project and company level * Oversee AP, AR, cash management and banking relationships * Manage the general ledger, month\-end and year\-end close, and reconciliations * Manage external audits, tax filings and lender reporting...
