**DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:** * The MA is responsible for providing provider support as applicable, and comprehensive direct care to patients and their families under the direction of the provider. This position supports the Practice Director and Manager in coordinating and leading practice personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services. The position will perform duties within the scope of practice, ensuring consistency with Memorial Medical Group policies and procedures, standards of care, approved protocols, standing orders and guidelines. **SUPERVISION:** Reports directly to Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse **RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:** * Receives patient from the waiting room and escorts the patient to the exam room. * Obtains and records all in\-take information in the patient medical record. Records any other department specific information in patient chart. Adheres to all government documentation requirements. * Records patient critical lab values, adverse reactions and pertinent information and promptly reports to the provider. * Prepares patient and provider with set up and cleanup of procedures. * Observes...
