JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Cost Accountant will have responsibility for ensuring technical accuracy of the P\&L and Balance Sheet as they relate to Cost Accounting. This individual will partner with Procurement, FP\&A, Transportation, and Plant Controllers, to support operational cost efficiency. This role will assist in the collection and analysis of financial information related to the organization’s expenses, capital, and performance to define ways to improve accuracy of budgets, forecasts, and overall processes as determined by normal operations and periodic performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Analyzes expenses and cost transactions; ensures that transactions are recorded accurately, in the correct Financial period and assigned to the appropriate GL Accounts, Department/Dimensions, and Projects. * Conducts specific research to recommend process improvement and to monitor and measure performance operations * Prepares periodic reports tracking data across all plant activities. * Manage standard costs of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with corporate policies including both new and existing items * Assist in management of annual calculation of standard direct labor and...
