General Statement (Summary of duties and responsibilities): The Tissue Recovery Coordinator (TRC) is responsible for coordinating the tissue donation process, including referral, scheduling, recovery and shipment of recovered tissues, Assists with tissue supply management and other tissue departmental related duties. Assists with professional and public education programming (as needed) and maintains a positive, professional liaison between MORA Tissue Services and the medical/civic community. On\-call and weekend responsibilities are required. Essential Job Functions: Evaluates referrals for tissue donation. Reviews medical history or chart information to determine suitability of donors. Coordinates procurement activities with hospitals, medical examiner’s office and other recovery agencies.
