Responsible for the coordination of activities on the nursing unit/area during a shift. The Charge Nurse will provide direct communication with the Nurse Manager and is a resource for patient, families, nursing staff, physicians and other departments. Effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time and equipment on the unit and assists the department Manager in the daily operation of the unit. Perform direct patient care, within scope of practice.
