**Job Description:** **Established in 1955, Miller\-Stephenson Chemical (located in Danbury, CT) has emerged as a leading distributor of chemical products used in the aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industry. We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager.** **Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00 PM.** **Starting salary is $80,000/year.** **JOB DUTIES:** \- Manage the monthly financial close process. \- Inventory management – ensure inventory balances are accurate, investigate variances, analyze and monitor inventory for process improvements. \- Lead the annual physical inventory. \- Assist with the annual financial audit – prepare documentation and coordinate with the external auditors. \- Operating system management – assist with operating system issues and/or enhancements and coordinate with the external company. \- Oversee all A/R and A/P operations – ensure compliance to procedures consistent with GAAP. \- Complete ad hoc projects as requested. **REQUIRED SKILLS:** \- Meticulous attention to detail. \- Excellent communication skills. \- Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team. **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:** \- Bachelor’s deg...
