**Position Summary:** We are currently seeking a **Medical Assistant** to join our committed team of professionals. The **Medical Assistant** position is responsible for supporting our Pulmonary and Sleep Provider within our clinic. Under direct supervision, Medical Assistants perform a variety of routine clinical services to deliver safe and appropriate patient care, within the scope of their practice and established policies and procedures. It is necessary that within this role, employees cultivate and support a strong team culture, as well as a collaborative environment centered on consistently delivering exceptional patient care. Duties : * Check in and check out patients * Floating between front and back office responsibilities as needed * Scanning patient records and other information as necessary * Contacting insurance companies to pre\-certify tests and procedures for Physicians * Providing excellent customer service to patients * Other duties as assigned **Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Knowledge of vital signs and patient triaging. * Maturity when dealing with fellow employees and patients. * Good written and verbal communication skills.
