**Nature of Work** ------------------ **\*\*Disclaimer\-this position will be considered classified\-exempt and “at will.”** Under limited supervision of the District Bridge Engineer, the selected applicant will perform professional engineering as the District Bridge Evaluation Engineer. Will perform structural load analysis of bridges, requiring the ability to apply modern bridge theory and principles, calculating complex mathematical equations, and troubleshooting results to ensure validity. Will supervise and train evaluation staff in the same. Will review and approve new bridge design work of internal and contracted professional engineers by checking plans and performing structural load analysis. Provide assistance, supervision, and guidance to subordinates. This position requires travel; therefore a valid driver's license is required.
