**Job Summary:** Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, perform a wide variety of technical accounting work associated with constructed fixed assets and the financing associated with those activities. This accountant position, which supports the activities of both Finance and Engineering, will include tasks related to general ledger accounting, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, and general recordkeeping. **Essential Job Functions:** * + - Maintenance of accounts receivable customer files to ensure accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and any state/federal guidelines - Audits, computes, and records financial transactions related to various contractual/operational agreements and/or intergovernmental operations - Trains other Airport personnel in financial processing and/or timekeeping/payroll procedures - Recommends process improvements to Accounting Manager regarding current accounting procedures and related financial systems - Researches historical accounting data - Explains transactions to operating departments and outside parties - Processes and prepares Airport invoices and requests for payment - Processes and reviews ti...
