**POSITION OVERVIEW** --------------------- **Applications accepted from:** All Persons Interested **Service Line/Section:** Houston Water/Drinking Water Operations/System Maintenance **Location****:** Various Locations **Workdays \& Hours****:** Monday \- Friday,7:00 a.m.\- 4:00 p.m.\* **\*****Subject to change** **DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** Performs inspections of public infrastructures for various civil construction projects (i.e., paving, water and wastewater lines and facilities, storm sewers and traffic signals) to ensure conformance to project specifications and contract documents. Responsibilities include: Conduct on\-site inspections and oversee restoration work to ensure all construction materials, concrete composition, and workmanship meet industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. Ensures contractors properly notify residents of construction in the area. Coordinate and manage work orders, laboratory testing, and scheduling while monitoring project progress, prioritizing workloads, and maintaining accurate, up\-to\-date job status reports.
