**SENIOR ACCOUNTANT** **The Dewberry Charleston** **Department:** Finance \& Accounting **Proposed Reporting Relationship:** Director of Finance, working closely with the Controller **Employment Type:** Full\-Time **POSITION SUMMARY** The Senior Accountant supports The Dewberry’s financial operations through accurate accounting, timely reporting, and consistent financial controls. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Controller, this position owns assigned accounting functions and supports month\-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, and financial analysis. This hands\-on role requires hospitality accounting experience, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with department leaders. The position also provides cross\-training and designated coverage to support continuity within the accounting department. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES** **ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL REPORTING** * Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger transactions. * Complete assigned month\-end and year\-end closing activities within established deadlines. * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and re...
