The Accountant I is responsible for the accurate accounting and maintenance of the agency’s fixed assets throughout the asset lifecycle. This position ensures asset records are complete, accurate, properly classified, adequately supported by documentation, and maintained in accordance with applicable accounting requirements, internal fiscal policies, and Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) guidelines. The Accountant I applies established fiscal policies and guidelines to evaluate transactions, determine appropriate accounting treatment, and maintain reliable and auditable asset information.
