Overview: Department 428 Electrical Systems is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join the Monitoring \& Control System Group. The Monitoring \& Control Systems Group is a COLUMBIA Program dedicated team responsible for the development of the Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM\&E) Monitoring and Control (HMC) system. The HMC system is a networked based system that provides signal conditioning and electrical flow paths for control, indication, monitoring, and alarms based on sensor (e.g. temperature, pressure, salinity) data. HMC features comprehensive use of network switches, servers, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and display panels located throughout the ship for monitoring and control. The HMC system develops and maintains the software code for all of the applications, including C\+\+, Java and ladder logic for PLCs.
