**Job Type** ------------ **General Description** ----------------------- This position supports the governance, oversight, analysis, and reporting of Popular’s operational losses and related operational risk activities. Responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling operational losses, analyzing trends and key risk indicators; monitoring root causes, control deficiencies, and remediation, and preparing information for management and governance committees. The position also supports the evaluation and creation of annual Operational Risk capital stress test and scenario analysis. The analyst works closely with business units and other stakeholders, provides appropriate review and challenge of information submitted by the First Line of Defense, and delivers guidance and training to promote consistent and timely reporting. This position will support mainly the operational risk management process and propose to minimize operational risks from evaluation of key risks indicators and evaluation of controls effectiveness, identifying control failures, facilitating risk remediation, and monitoring the first line of defense in an effort to minimize risk exposures and strengthen the overa...
