Description

An existing building rarely answers every question in the original drawings. A structural bay may differ from the survey, an old opening may need investigation, or a proposed layout may reveal a better way to use the space. As our Project Architect, you will develop renovation and adaptive reuse projects from early investigation through construction. You will combine architectural judgment with detailed documentation and close coordination with consultants. This is a hands\-on technical role. You will guide project work and mentor colleagues without responsibility for hiring, compensation, or performance reviews. **Position Details** * **Employment:** Full\-time, permanent W\-2 employee. * **Base salary:** $105,000–$125,000 annually before taxes, paid biweekly. * **Location:** Chicago, Illinois. * **Work arrangement:** Tuesday–Thursday in our studio; Monday and Friday available for remote work, subject to planned site visits. * **Schedule:** Monday–Friday, normally 40 working hours per week; weekends off. * **Hours:** Generally 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Central Time, including a one\-hour meal break. * **Reports to:** Studio Principal. * **Travel:** Local site visits, typically two to fo...
