Manages and leads a team of engineers, technicians and inspectors as they plan, design, review and administer water and sanitary sewer construction and/or improvements within the guidelines of Augusta\-Richmond County and departmental procedures and regulations, surveying principles and practices, and water and sanitary sewer regulations. Responsible for managing the development of solutions to complete design, engineering and construction challenges. Works with co\-workers, engineers, developers, contractors, utility agencies and the public to provide technical support. **Key Responsibilities and Performance Standards** * Manages and leads design engineers and project managers. Oversees the review of design plans and specifications and cost estimates to identify, direct, solve and/or resolve design and construction projects and/or issues. Coordinate and evaluate activities and staff, conduct and attend meetings with staff, contractors and consulting engineers. * Supervises, selects, develops, trains and evaluates division personnel.
