**Tax Technician 2** **Work Location: 29399 U.S. Highway 19 North, Suite 200, Clearwater, FL 33761** **Schedule: Monday \- Friday, 8:00 a.m. \- 5:00 p.m.** **\*\*\*ONLY PINELLAS COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR PERMANENT AND PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES MAY APPLY\*\*\*** **This position is the first level of leadership for the Tax Collector Organization and a crucial part of the in\-house training team.** This role performs complex clerical and financial work responding to inquiries regarding real estate accounts including but not limited to property tax, tangible tax, bankruptcy, homestead liens, tax roll corrections, tax deed and various other tax services; acts as collections agent for municipalities, the Clerk of Court, and taxing authorities; addresses inquiries ranging from payment billing, account research, escalated issues, and the application of approved policies and procedures; maintains close contact with multiple areas within Pinellas County government ensuring the accuracy of various ad valorem and non\-ad valorem taxes. **What Would You Do?** * Researches, verifies, updates, and assures the accuracy of information in the tax revenue software for tax calculation, billing, collection, pa...
