Description

The **Director of Facilities, Capital Planning** leads the Providence Public School District's long\-range facilities and portfolio planning, project planning and pre\-development, districtwide school move and transition program, and Capital Revolving Fund administration. The Director translates enrollment, educational program, facility condition, utilization, funding, and community needs into coordinated plans that support safe, equitable, and high\-quality learning environments. The Director will serve as the districtwide program lead for a significant period of school transitions, including an anticipated nine to ten school moves in Summer 2027 and related moves into newly constructed or renovated buildings through Summer 2029\. This work requires disciplined multiyear planning and coordination across schools, central\-office departments, the City of Providence, the Rhode Island Department of Education, design and construction teams, owner's project managers, vendors, and community stakeholders.
